Myrtle Beach

A couple of weekends ago we headed down to Myrtle Beach to visit with Grammie and Abuelo for a long weekend. We started our visit off with a fun game of mini golf. I got a hole in one, but came in second to last place :(. Abuelo ended up taking the win!

Part of Finley's birthday gift this past year was a trip to Alligator Adventure. Finley was very excited to see all the alligators. It did not disappoint!

I actually really like gators.

But I hate snakes!

This place had plenty of both!

Look at Finley's face in this picture. He was so excited to make Grammie touch and hold a snake! Grammie also hates snakes as much as I do! She does not look so happy. But she will do anything to make Finley happy!

How cute is that little gator though?

And this fella right here?

The albino gators were particularly scary looking.

And this huge guy was named Utan. He is a false gharial crocodile.

So precious! I wish I could have taken this little guy home!

Later that day we headed over the beach. The ocean was really rough so we didn't go into the water very far, but we enjoyed walking on the beach and napping in the sun.

Even though it was hot, it was still pretty beautiful out!

While in Myrtle Beach we also got to see the new house that Grammie & Abuelo bought! They will be moving within the same neighborhood into a bigger house.

It was so much fun visiting with Grammie & Abuelo!

We can't wait to come back again when they have moved into their new house!

Topsail Island 2017

We decided to skip the last day of school this year and head to the beach for a week! Well, initially the last day of school was suppose to be the Friday before we went to the beach, but snow days extended the school year so Finley missed the last day! Oooops! He doesn't look too disappointed though does he?

We were so very excited to have my parents, David's parents, Uncle Donovan, Aunt Michelle, and my Uncle Michael join us for our annual beach week! The only major bummer is that a few days after getting home from the beach my cell phone crashed and I lost all my beach photos! NOOOO! These are the few I recovered from text messages and Facebook. Still sad that I lost so many though.

We stayed up late every night playing games, watching movies, and eating lots of junk food! I did not get very much sleep on this vacation with Finley bounding in our room every day at 6 am!

My dad went the whole week without shaving and started to look like the uni-bomber!

We had fun doing two different puzzles. A 500 piece Biltmore puzzle that we brought and one 1,000 piece puzzle that was crazy hard! Unfortunately, the 1,000 piece puzzle had a few pieces missing. I hate when that happens!

This picture of Finley cracks me up!

One day we met up with Hadley, Sarah, and the babies who were staying at a different beach. Hadley delivered an amazing gift to Finley from her recent trip to Barcelona! He loves his new Messi doll!

Finley was at first sad because he wanted to take Messi's shirt off so that he could 'celebrate'. Luckily I figured out how to get it off so Messi and I could work on our tans together.

Finley made a volcano sand castle this year.

Siblings!

I loved getting to spend time with my sister. I feel like she is always so super busy and stressed out, but I think she was able to relax a little bit on our vacation.

We ended up staying in a great house with perfect views and even a Foosball table. We had some epic matches and luckily no one got too upset!

We always go golfing at least one day with my pops. Donovan and I won the day playing better ball against him!

We also enjoyed playing soccer on the beach every day!

Finley always has so much fun with his Uncle Donovan!

Love how blue their eyes are in this picture. Finley definitely takes after his daddy!

Finley was a little reluctant with the ocean this year, but having an inter tube or boogie board allowed him to be a little braver in the water!

Here's the whole crew!

All the Dorrance chillens and gran chillens!

The grand parents and Finley.

The Harris crew.

This is the longest Donovan's hair has ever been! It allowed us to take some great bun head pictures!

Finley is so lucky to have so many adoring grand parents!

Finley with Grammie and Abuelo at the pier!

Our last morning at the beach. The week always goes by way too fast! We had a wonderful time with family, great weather, and are already looking forward to the next beach vacation!
