Jamie, one of my good friends from high school and growing up, recently got engaged and asked me to be in her wedding! I was so honored to be asked and of course said yes! And then about 5 months before the wedding, I found out I was pregnant with twins! LOL! I was a little nervous about how all this would shake out, but luckily my body was doing good and we had a great weekend celebrating the happy couple! I am so excited that Jamie has found her perfect mate!
The weekend of events started off with the wedding rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. The dinner was at a local "barcade" with pizza, live music, and all the free arcade games you could play! Finley was in heaven! Jamie's dad plays mandolin in a bluegrass band and they played music and even a song he had written just for Jamie. It was so sweet and perfect!
The next day we spent the morning getting hair and make up done in preparation for the wedding.
Luckily the dress I ordered (a medium) was nice, flowing, and forgiving of my ever growing body! Ta - Dah!
The wedding and reception was at this beautiful property called the Carriage House in Chapel Hill. The weather was gorgeous and the scenery amazing!
After the wedding there were fun games for the guests to play on the property followed by a dance party in the open air barn.
I was very worried about it being so hot for an outdoor wedding in July, but we really lucked out and the weather was nice and cool!
The reception had amazing food, fun music, and a very low key southern atmosphere.
