Spring Break 2021

After our adult getaway and Easter the rest of our spring break week was pretty open and low key!

I wanted to make sure Finley was able to have a fun spring break and do some special things that were just for him. He's been working so hard at school this year and being a remote student presents it's own set of challenges. BUT we just found out that he got straight As this past third quarter! We are so proud of him! He has also been helping out with the babies for me on a regular basis so I wanted to make sure he felt appreciated for all that he does!

We kicked things off with a mommy/Finley tennis date. He is improving and getting pretty good these days! Won't be long before he can beat me!

We went to ride the carousel with the Hoffman's and go to the park nearby.

The boys love Ms. Karen and Finley gets along really well with Ally and Cora.

Both boys had their hearts set on riding "a tiger!".

And of course Finley wanted to ride the Carolina Ram!

On Saturday we finally cashed in a Christmas gift from Grammie & Abuelo several years ago to go do the ropes course at the Science Center.

Finley invited his two besties Cade and Finn to join him. David went too and they all had a blast!

On the last day off we headed over to Celebration Station.
We got there right at 10 am when they were supposed to open, but apparently their website times were wrong and they weren't going to open until noon! Luckily the manager took pity on us and several others and opened up a few things early. Phew!

We started off with a round of mini golf. As you can see, even Hunter and Jackson got in on the action.

Finley invited another of his good tennis friends Dylan to come with us.

It was hard to keep the babies off of the fun little house decorations.

Both Finley and Dylan got holes in one! So impressed!

We then headed inside to hit up the arcade!

The babies loved all the lights and noises and were content just to pretend to play everything.

Finley and Dylan racked up quite a few tickets playing all sorts of fun games.

Our staycation was a success and just what we needed before the final push till the end of the school year! For both of us!

Easter

The boys are finally at an age where they understand celebrations and holidays. They were very excited for Easter and the Easter bunny!

The clubhouse in our neighborhood put up some really cute Easter decorations.

The boys loved getting to see the Easter bunnies and give them hugs and kisses!

The day before Easter Jackson tripped, fell, and smashed his head into the hubcap of my car. He was sporting his very own Easter egg on Easter.

Easter morning brought fun baskets of goodies!

And of course bunny ears!

These two are sugar addicts! They are constantly asking for treats!

Grammie & Abuelo were in town and helped the boys dye some Easter eggs.

We had family and the Hoffman's over for an Easter brunch and egg hunt.

Ever since moving into this house I had been looking forward to hosting an Easter egg hunt! The weather was gorgeous and the yard looked amazing!

While the kiddos were occupied inside the adults helped hide the eggs.

The Easter egg hunt crew.
Ready. Set. Go!

Hunter and Jackson did great and only needed a little help to get to some of the eggs.

They had so much fun running around the yard and collecting eggs.

They love Ms. Karen!

Ally was trying a different view point to find the missing money ball golden egg.

Finley was lucky enough to find it!

Donovan Deez is my favorite.

The boys got to eat one egg after the hunt.

But weren't so interested in sharing!

I am so lucky to have Karen as a friend and wonderful babysitter to my boys! They love her and I am so grateful for all of my sanity breaks over the past two years!

These kids are growing up way too fast!

We are very grateful to have all of the adults vaccinated so we can visit each other safely!

We had a wonderful Easter celebrating the resurrection of our Savior with friends and family. It was so much fun to teach the boys about Jesus' life, death, and resurrection leading up to Easter. They are starting to understand and grasp so much!

There was one egg that was not found during our egg hunt. Luckily only a few days after Easter it was discovered! I think Pop Pop hid this one!
