11 months old!

The twins are 11 months old!

I cannot believe we are only 1 month away from turning 1!!!!

Hunter who is 11 months old now! Latest tricks: taking a few steps, clapping, growly voice when he makes noises, and sleeping through the night more consistently! Likes: music, trucks, swinging, the trash can, and pushing things around the house. Dislikes: diaper changes, his hair being pulled, brushing his teeth, and drinking a bottle in one sitting. Nicknames: bunter, cookie bear, Hunter boo, and peanut. 

Action Jackson is 11 months old! Latest tricks: walking very well, clicking his tongue, eating finger foods, and folding his arms for prayers. Likes: eating all foods, pushing things around the house, dancing, eating food off the ground, and eating books. Dislikes: having his diaper changed, wearing pants, and teething. Nicknames: chunk, big boy, flirt, and action.

Time is flying by! Almost too quickly now! I better get on planning their first birthday party!

Dorrance Field

Last weekend we went to Chapel Hill to gather with family for a very special event! The new soccer/lacrosse stadium that was built for UNC was going to be named and dedicated. The biggest donors of the new stadium had two daughters who played soccer at Carolina. They have been huge supporters of the women's program and my dad. So they decided they wanted to name the field Dorrance field! What an amazing honor! We were all so excited to celebrate!

My Aunt Linda and Uncle Lew Jack came up from Florida for the occasion! 

We had a nice family dinner along with my sister, brother, Carly, and my Uncle Pete & Aunt Dolly who live in Chapel Hill on Saturday night once we got into town.

The ceremony was the following morning at 11 am. 

The field dedication was by invitation only, and not open to the public for some strange reason. So the crowd was smaller and more intimate. But that weekend they did honor my dad at both the football game during half time and during Late Night with Roy! I so wish I could have been at Late Night with Roy!

Speaking of Roy...

The athletic director and chancellor both spoke at the ceremony.

Then my dad's volunteer assistant coach and former player Heather O'Reilly spoke. The field was officially dedicated and name unveiled. 

After that it was time to get ready for the game! My dad's team was slated to play a tough match against Notre Dame!

It was so hot we watched most of the game from inside my dad's new office.

The Lovemans (donors) had these awesome shirts made for everyone to wear!

There were also these nice banners that they handed out to the crowd!

One of my besties from High School, Sarah, and her husband Elliott were able to come and help us celebrate! Luckily we were able to pull out a 3-0 win in the newly dedicated stadium! Phew!

Later that night we hired a babysitter (well actually 2) for the twins and celebrated even more at the field for an amazing gala/reception!

The tent was decorated so beautifully with Carolina blue flowers and trim and of course Championship trophies!

My sister danced to kick off the night!

It was the perfect ending to the perfect day! So grateful for this huge honor bestowed on my dad. I only wish my grandmother was still living to be here for it! She would have been just over the moon to see the beautiful new stadium and offices. Congratulations Pop Pop! We couldn't be more proud!
