5th Grade Graduation!

Finley's time as an elementary student has come to an end! I can hardly believe it! It has seriously flown by. I feel so bad that he missed out on so many of the fun end of year events because of COVID-19. His school decided to host a drive through graduation for the kids to celebrate all their hard work!

One of the 5th grade mom's bought a bunch of decorating supplies and invited everyone to decorate their cars before the drive through.

Finley had a great time decking out the car and saying hi to a few of his friends from a distance.

It was nice to see his 1st grade teacher there at the graduation!

And of course our favorite librarian. When we drove by she started to tear up and say that she wasn't going to say goodbye. I have so missed being able to volunteer in the library since the twins were born.

Many of the specialists were there who Finley has been with his entire elementary school!

We said goodbye to his two fifth grade teachers Mrs. Karl

And Mrs. VanOoyen.

And of course our amazing AG teacher Mrs. Huff!

We are so proud of this new middle schooler!

It is so sad to leave behind General Greene, our friends, and all the wonderful staff and teachers.

A few last day of school pics.

First day of Elementary school...

versus last day of elementary school! He has grown so much but is still such a cutie!
We love you so much Finley! Congratulations!

Birthday Hike!

Unfortunately on David's birthday weekend all events to celebrate had to be cancelled because Hunter was sick. We were supposed to have another family outdoor picnic with my parents and the Harrises but it all had to be called off to keep everyone safe and healthy!

Once Hunter was feeling better we planned to go do a short hike as a family. The boys' first!

Our neighbors had recommended a lesser known park with a specific hike that the babies might be able to do. It was about an hour north of us at the Mayo State Park.

After having a picnic lunch when we arrived, the boys set off to explore! Look at those big boys!

It was a short easy downhill hike to this gorgeous waterfall!!

Finley discovered some fool's gold near the edge of the creek.

The boys both enjoyed throwing things into the water and watching it float away.

Finley decided to rock hop over to the other side of the river.

He made it without falling in!

It was the perfect hike for our crew and luckily it wasn't crowded on the cloudy day we chose to go! Just as we were getting back into our car it started raining so we timed things perfectly!
Our first family of five hike was a success!
