Just one week after we returned from our beach week we were on the road again this time to Myrtle Beach!
David's sister Tami and her family came out to visit from Colorado.
It had been way too long since the boys had seen their cousins Piper and Gabi! Because we had just taken a week off for our beach week, we could only go and visit for a long weekend. But man did we pack a lot into one weekend!
First up was a trip to the pool at Grammie & Abuelo's condo on the beach!
We all enjoyed the lazy river there and spray ground fountains.
Later that day, during the hottest part of the day, we checked out this really cool park/playground.
Unfortunately due to the heat we only lasted about 45 minutes before packing it in.
But the park had some really fun swings, slides, and features!
We will definitely go back next time we visit!
Later that evening the boys took turns playing Abuelo's guitars.
Sunday was Grammie's birthday! For her special day she took us all on a pirate boat adventure!
The kids got ready by getting some face paint!
Though Jackson refused.
Once aboard the ship we were on a mission to find...treasure!
But of course it had to be retrieved from a bad pirate!
The littles were both terrified of that pirate! Literally shaking and needing to be held.
But once we took the pirate down we were able to enjoy the loot!
And then we celebrated with music, dancing, and limbo!
It was a fun little adventure and we had the boat all to ourselves!
We then explored the docks a little bit before having lunch.
Later that afternoon we celebrated Grammie's special day with ice cream sundaes.
Happy Birthday Grammie!
And of course we had to mark our family get together with family pictures. Unfortunately the photographer bailed just hours before our photo shoot! A friend of Grammie's stepped in and between her camera phone and mine we were able to get a few good photos! Not too shabby!
While it was a quick visit we sure did have a lot of fun!
We can't wait to see our cousins again! Maybe next year at Disney!
