It's our favorite week of the year! We enjoyed a wonderful week with family at Topsail Island back in July.
I was so excited for the boys to be older this year and enjoy the beach more. The first few days they were a little timid and afraid of the waves, but as the week wore on they got more and more comfortable and braver!
We had one rainy day and one cloudy day, but otherwise the weather could not be beat!
Not oppressively hot, but just hot enough! The water was also still cool and refreshing!
Hunter and Jackson enjoyed having picnics on the deck whenever they could!
Playing in the sand and building sand castles was a daily event.
One day there was a perfect tidal pool to play in! The boys loved running through it and falling down in the knee deep water. We were also able to catch some fish too! Unfortunately, the tidal pool was only there one day!
This is my favorite picture from the week!
Matchy matchy batthing suits! LOL. But not on purpose!
And matchy matchy eye patches!
We stayed in the same house this summer as we did last year. And the boys still fit in the hidey hole!
David and my mom are really good at finding sharks teeth!
Bocce ball was played every day!
Jumping the waves with the grandmas!
Donovan and his new girlfriend KellyAnne.
The beach sure does tire the boys out!
Enjoying walks and the waves with Grammie and Abuelo!
Check out how tan Finley is compared to Donovan! LOL
The park at N Topsail Beach was open this summer which meant we were super close to tennis and pickleball courts!
We had fun playing some doubles with my dad, Finley, and David.
While the boys played on the playground with Mimi!
Uncle Michael taking a snooze on the deck.
David and I did get to have a tennis date and a movie outing. Woo Hoo!
My mom and her brother Michael!
They didn't sit for long...
The boys love celebrating anyone's birthday if that means cake! And blowing out candles.
My dad went into the ocean once and tried to body surf. Apparently the waves got the better of him!
We had a great week but missed Auntie Michelle and Aliza. We hope it isn't too long before we get to see them again. We look forward to our beach week all spring and summer and hate when it is over! Until next year!
