Amongst all the craziness of the holidays and the various illnesses that kept running through our house it's amazing that we got out at all! But luckily, we were able to do some of our family Christmas traditions and add in a few new ones.
Running of the Balls

We kept our annual tradition of participating in the 5K walk/run race The Running of the Balls in Sunset Hills neighborhood in Greensboro.

We had an early dinner with Carries and then headed out!
David wasn't feeling his best that night so he stayed home. The rest of us enjoyed a nice long walk through the neighborhood listening to festive music and checking out the lighted balls and decorations.
Meeting Santa!
One night out to dinner my friends and I ran into Santa! Which turned out to be another friend's friend. LOL small world!
We ended up visiting Santa and Mrs. Claus at our neighborhood club house.
It was so quick and easy and provided the perfect meet and greet with the "Big" man! The boys were so excited to see him and put in their requests!
Buffy's Ornament Party
This was my second time being invited to a neighborhood ornament party.
I play tennis with a bunch of these ladies!
I really wanted to bring home this ornament...but after I brought home a very funny but also inappropriate ornament last year, I was under strict instructions not to do that again from my husband!
Jess very appropriately went home with her Queen!
And I stole this beautiful Angel!
Love these ladies!
Christmas Program
The boys last week of preschool before the winter break they put on a sweet program.
The sang their hearts out to Feliz Navidad and Jump for Joy.
And they had a very special visitor come watch them!
The boys sure have been missing getting to play with Karen on a regular basis as she is also going through Chemotherapy for colon cancer.
I have been able to visit with Karen on a regular basis but with all our sickness the boys have had to stay away.
Hoping we can see her more soon! The boys missing have Ms. Karen watch them!
Ridgewood Cocktail Party
Our club also hosted a cocktail party.
Even though we don't drink, we enjoyed dressing up, hanging out with friends, and the delicious food!
Love my tennis friends!
Well almost all of them lol.
Winter Wonderlights
Technically we didn't go see the Winter Wonderlights until after Christmas...but it still counts as our festive activites for the Christmas season!
The kids had a great time!
There was fake snow!
Dancing lights!
Lots
and lots
of photo opportunities!
You may notice that Jackson decided to wear his Spiderman costume to the event.
He turned quite a few heads and kept me laughing the whole night!
This was Carries first time attending!
The boys did some of the best dancing of their lives!
This tree was my favorite!
Finley was so done with all the photos at this point.
And we finished the night with a carousel ride.
We had a great time and loved seeing the new additions!
Thank you Bean family for a great Christmas gift!
