Finley turns 6

I can't believe this big boy is six! The years have really flown by! I wish he would stop growing up and just be my baby forever :(.

For Finley's big day he actually stayed home sick from school. Poor thing had a fever and bad cough.

We enjoyed the day at home together reading and playing games. He got to have his favorite meal for dinner when dad got home: pasta with red sauce, bread, and edamame.

He also enjoyed opening his presents. His big gift from us was the Disney Infinity video game.

He enjoyed opening up Michelle's big santa like bag of gifts.

He is very excited to have water gun fights with mom and dad. And Uncle Donovan gave him Groot to go with his new game! Perfect!

The Beans had so fun gifts including a marshmallow gun shooter!

Spring Break

For spring break this year my mom and dad treated Finley and I to a special trip to Orlando.

Since we had recently done a Disney trip we decided to explore Legoland!

After waiting in a very long line just to park, we finally make it inside! We cruised through Duploland.

And headed for the Chima ride!

There was a warning sign while waiting in line saying you "You will get soaked".

Well they were right! We got really wet but had fun shooting water guns at other boats and spectators. It's a good thing it was warm out!

Next we made our way through the Castle section aka Lego Kingdom.

We had fun spotting medieval Lego characters.

And did a fun little train ride.

After having a nice lunch alfresco we visited Miniland.

Miniland was created by 30 master builders and it took them two years to complete it working full time! It features all types of fun US landmarks like Vegas.

New York City

Washington, D.C.

and a fun pirate scene!

Next we headed over to the land of Adventure.

We did a fun indoor ride called the Lost Kingdom Adventure.

We had little guns to shoot at targets. I was a little too busy taking pictures because as you can see my mom beat me.

And pop pop killed it and is now a Master Treasure Hunter!

Finley scored a Jr. Adventurer.

Finley didn't want to ride the Safari ride, but we saw a spectacular elephant made out of Legos.

He really wanted to head over to the Imagination Zone and I am so glad we did

It gave my mom a chance to rest indoors and my dad and Finley had a blast building, racing, and rebuilding their cars.

This was my dad's favorite part of the whole park!

We got very lucky and as we were exciting the Imagination Zone we ran into Emmet and got to have a picture with him! Awesome!

Legoland is set on the grounds of the old Cypress Gardens. My mom remembers going there as a child to tour the gardens and watch the water ski show. Our final stop on our Legoland adventure was to see a Pirate show!

It was a live water ski show.

Proof that I was actually there :).

Finley was really entertained by the show.

And we were super impressed with the water skiers.

When the pirates came out they did all kinds of crazy tricks!

I loved how they skied up on the ramp.

Brick Beard the pirate tried to take over pirate's cove! Oh no!

Luckily he was defeated!

And then chased away by a shark!

We had a great day at Legoland and my mom did excellent!

The next day she thought about taking us a Sea World, but given the big day at Legoland, we decided to take it easy and hang out by the pool at our resort.

Finley had fun swimming, playing in the arcade, and enjoying several games of chess against Pop Pop.

It was a nice relaxing day to end our trip with!

The next day we headed back home. Thanks Mimi and Pop Pop for the wonderful spring break trip! We had a blast!
