State Fair!

This past weekend David and I went to the North Carolina State Fair. We went with my brother Donovan, his girlfriend Hayley, and our friend from Greensboro Emily. These photos are courtesy of Emily. Aren't they great? We had so much fun!

Here is our list of the Top 10 things to do at the North Carolina State Fair.

10) Look at the pretty flowers and gardens on display (my favorite thing to do)

9) Shop at the Village of Yesteryear

8) Visit the animals! Cows, chicks, horses, pigs, etc!

7) Get a free hush puppy at the Grist Mill

6) Drink some homemade apple cider

5) Watch a pig race!

4) Eat all kinds of fried food or food on a stick (our favorites include; french fries, corn dogs, fried dough, and cotton candy)

3) Go on some rides! What is a state fair without risking your life a little bit? We recommend the fireball, swings, Ferris wheel, and roller coaster.

2) Watch the fireworks! These are the best fireworks ever! They set off so many, and you are so close they are ridiculously loud. But you get an awesome view.

1) Play the mullet game! This is our number one reason for taking a trip to the fair. Where else can you see these magnificent, but outdated hair dos? You even get points for spotting the rarer ones. And the winner is....David! Congratulations! Your prize will be sporting a mullet of your own for one week.
