Snow Day!

Well it finally snowed! Unfortunately it was on the eve of our departure to NYC. 

So while most people were hoping for a lot of snow in order to get out of work or school, we were hoping the snow wouldn't stick or cause delays at the airport. 

Friday morning everything was covered in a beautiful white blanket. 

And we had a little bit of time to go out and enjoy it before we had to drive to the airport. 

It was only 8 am, but we could already hear the snow melting all around us. 

We enjoyed a few rides down our driveway, 

having a snow ball fight . . . 

And making snow angels! 

Then it was time to clear off the car and hope we could make it out of our neighborhood. Luckily we did! Once we made it to the main roads everything was clear. And it hadn't snowed nearly as bad in Raleigh so no plane delays either! Maybe next time around we will have a little more time to fully enjoy the winter weather.
