Disney World: Epcot

Our last day in the Disney parks was spent at Epcot. 

When we arrived they were letting people in super early! Score! Or so we thought. 

I hadn't booked a fast pass for Test Track so that is where we headed first. And of course they were having technical difficulties with the ride. Boo! So instead we walked around a bit and went to go see Captain EO. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing old school Michael Jackson dancing and singing. Apparently I was the only one.

Next we hit up Journey into the imagination with Figment. Finley had a lot of fun playing in the imagination room after the ride. We then met up with Grammie and Abuelo to do the ride inside the huge Epcot ball called Spaceship Earth. It was kind of dated but still fun. 

After we got out we decided to head back to test track to try and squeeze it in before our next fast pass. Well by this time the ride was open but now there was an hour and 15 minute wait. We went for it anyways but poor Finley had a hard time waiting so long. Especially since we had been so lucky the previous two days and barely had to wait at all. 

But I must say the ride was worth the wait! Unfortunately we were running behind in my 'schedule'. We had to make a mad dash over to our next fast pass The Seas with Nemo and Friends. 

The best part was exploring the living seas after we got out of the ride. 

I was really impressed with their aquarium. 

Look David, it's those mythical creatures called sea horses! Ha ha ha. By this time we were pretty hungry and headed over to eat lunch at Sunshine seasons. This quick service meal was my favorite of all! They had yummy salads and fish tacos. Our next fast pass ride was in the same building, Soarin'. This was every one's favorite ride of the day. When we got out it was raining outside so we went ahead and did The Circle of Life show and Living with the Land boat ride that were also inside. We really enjoyed seeing all the things they grow on site at Disney. 

After we got out we went over to a kiosk to add one more fast pass to our day. I noticed there was only a 15 minute wait to see some characters, so I thought we can handle that while David booked our fast passes. 

I am so glad we did! Finley had fun getting his first autographs of our trip and meeting some new friends. 

At the other parks the lines to meet characters was always so long. 

I just wasn't interested in waiting in lines to see characters. 

So this ended up working out great. We didn't have to wait long and met five characters! 

Next up we headed over to Ellen's Energy ride. It was pretty funny, but also pretty long. 

We finally headed over to where the world showcase was and hit up two more small rides: Maelstrom (which is closing for good and being turned into a Frozen ride), and the Three Caballeros ride in Mexico. 

We did these last few rides with several of David's Aunts and Uncles who were also visiting Disney. 

Here was our crew: Uncle David, Auntie Diane, Auntie Marcelle, Uncle Donnie, Abuelo, Grammie, Finley, David and me. 

Walking around Epcot's world showcase was making my mouth water! I wanted to eat everything in site. David had a brilliant idea for next time we come, we get park hoppers and eat dinner at Epcot every night! We had dinner reservations booked over in Japan at Teppan Edo a Japanese steak house. While we waited for our table we were treated to a fun Japanese drum show. 

Our last day in the parks was another success! It actually poured several times that day, but never on us! Only on our stroller. Every time we came out of a ride the sun would be out, but everything was soaked. I guess we were pretty lucky. The only thing we missed out on in Epcot was Turtle Talk with Crush. We were too hungry to stick around and do that experience. Oh well! Every one's favorite ride of the day was Soarin' and Finley also really enjoyed meeting Mickey and Friends.
