It seemed like it took Finley a long time to pick out his Halloween costume this year. First he wanted to be a Thundermen character, then a character from Henry Danger, but he finally settled on being a Ghostbuster! Now this was a costume I could get behind!
It was pretty easy to find and order Finley's costume online. I also found a cheap Ghostbuster's shirt for David to wear.
Finley told me that I was going to be the librarian ghost from the very first Ghostbuster movie. Do you remember that scene? If not, you can find it here. It was the perfect character for me! LOL.
Our ward hosted an annual Trunk or Treat and Chili cook off. The Cub Scout troop that Finley is a part of was in charge of carnival games for the young primary children.
We had pumpkin bowling (a station that Finley and Danny were in charge of), a bean bag toss game, and a pin the spider on the web game.
After dinner and the carnival it was time to Trunk or Treat. By good fortune a friend of a friend had this amazing Stay Puft Marshmallow costume that they had worn a few years ago on Halloween. We were lucky enough to borrow it and David was such a good sport and wore it!
Now we really look the part!
On Halloween night we finally got around to carving our pumpkins. Finley picked out two very challenging Ghostbuster themed pictures for us to carve.
They weren't easy, and mine ended up being held together by some toothpicks, but I think they turned out all right!
Grammie and Abuelo were in town and got to help hand out candy while the Marshmallow man and Finley went door to door.
David really is such a good sport! It was hard for him to see in the outfit and he kept accidentally bumping into Finley and almost knocking him over! David did get a lot of attention and complements for his fun costume. I feel a little bad that he out shined Finley.
We had such a fun and festive Halloween! We hope you did too!

Loved these costumes!
This years costumes, another big hit! I love the creativity...and must admit, my favorite picture is the one from behind the boys walking up the drive to head out, and how you can see the outline of David inside the marshmallow puff!
