Sunny days...chasing the clouds away!!!
For the twins 2nd birthday we decided to have a Sesame Street themed party with family and the boys babysitter Ms. Karen and her crew!
We made monster cookies.
Had Abby Cadabby's wands and special cupcakes that looked like the characters as well! I forgot to take a picture of all the cute decorations and balloons, but it was a colorful event!
Since we weren't have other children over due to COVID I decided not to stress or worry about creating party themed games. We mostly spent time outside playing on their new playset! The boys also got some great new outdoor toys including tricycles.
Their own tennis racquets!
And a basketball hoop!
What lucky boys!
They thoroughly enjoyed eating their Cookie Monster cupcakes.
And both successfully blew out their own candles! We celebrated their birthday on Halloween because David had to be out of town for a trial on their actual birthday.
On the day of their birthday Ms. Karen and I took the twins to the carousel and playground. It was election day so the kids also had the day off of school which worked out great!
Both boys are talking up a storm these days and Hunter also loves to sing.
They can count above 10 and say their ABCs with little to no mistakes.
They are strong and like to climb on everything. They especially enjoy hanging on the monkey bars and giving me a heart attack!
Hunter weighs in at 25.8 lbs (23%) and 34.5 inches (63%). Hunter loves brushing his own teeth with toothpaste, singing, dancing, books, Elmo, throwing things, juice, playing in the car, and M&Ms. He hates giving up his paci, when I brush his teeth, sleeping in or through the night, and sharing anything! He is also still an aggressive biter and finds himself in timeout a lot. He is more independent than Jackson but still needs his mama often.
Jackson weighs in at 29.8 lbs (72%) and 34.25 inches (56%). Jackson loves music, story time online, signing time, brushing his own teeth, his paci, his blankie, most foods, sleeping, and swinging. He hates giving up his paci, waiting his turn, that he can't drive the car, having his diaper changed or his teeth brushed, and sharing. Jackson will often provoke Hunter to bite him, but won't let him sit in timeout alone. He is still very much a mama's boy and loves being held by me.
We celebrated their birthday some more that night with leftover cupcakes and pizza!
I can't believe the boys are 2 already! We have survived two years of twins! The days have been long but time has flown by! We love these sweet little crazy boys! They keep us on our toes and keep things exciting.
