Pop Pop's 70th Birthday!

This past April my dad turned 70! My mom wanted to do something fun and special to help celebrate such a big milestone. With Covid we had to simplify our celebration. We ended up renting out a movie theater and our whole family was able to be there along with a few of my dad's closest (and vaccinated) friends.

The boys had fun jumping off this cement wall and getting out energy before the movie started.

Pop Pop makes 70 look good!
Our birthday present for my dad from me and my siblings was a list of 70 memories and things we love about him. We read it to the whole group before we watched the movie.

This was the twins first full length movie. I was really worried they weren't going to last for the whole thing and need to be taken home. Luckily I was proven wrong! They loved walking around, watching, and of course eating tons of food!

Here's the whole gang!

Donovan helped choose our movie. It is a Japanese animated movie called Ponyo. It was very sweet and a little strange. LOL. But the babies ate it up!

It was so strange being back in a movie theater again. I think it had been almost two years for us between COVID and the twins.

This particular theater allowed you to order dinner while watching the movie.

But of course the boys mainly enjoyed stuffing themselves with popcorn and ICEES.

Even being in a real theater didn't stop David from falling asleep in the middle of the movie. LOL.
Happy Birthday Pop Pop!
We are so glad we were able to celebrate with you!

So fun! That's hilarious that David still fell asleep! Those recliners will get ya. Ha!
