Back to School!

First Day #1:
Well it is that time of year again! Seriously, I can't believe how quickly this summer flew by.
It is time for school!

Finley attended his first days of regular preschool last week.

This year his class size is much bigger. There are 11 children in his class and 2 teachers.
He has only one friend from his old class that he knows :(.
The class is made up of 7 boys and 4 girls. Those teachers have their work cut out for them!

Adjusting to the new teachers, kids, and classroom is taking longer than I thought.
He did great the first day, but since then he has had a progressively harder time when I drop him off.

I think part of it has to do with all the other kids crying and not wanting their parents to leave.
When I asked Finley why he cried when I left he said "Everybody crying". I think it is mostly contagious crying.

Being in the 2 yr old class room I no longer pick up him from his room.
They march them out to us one by one. It is so cute.

First Day #2:
Today marked Finley's first day of preschool with Miss Shelley.
Yes he is attending 2 preschools.
I might be crazy... but Miss Shelley is such a great teacher I didn't want him to miss out on this opportunity!

One day a week for 2 hours he attends school with a bunch of his church friends.
Today he got to be the class leader and wear a special star!

He did a great job and we both really enjoyed it!
(I am staying to help out Miss Shelley because I just can't handle being away from Finley 3 mornings a week!)

Today they learned about the sky! It was so fun to see the children learning.
And the instruction time lasted for about an hour! I was super impressed with how well all the children did with the lesson and related activities.

It is going to be a busy school year, but a fun one!

Awe..contagious crying...that sounds pretty sad.

But the marching out one by one is awfully cute.

I would have a hard time being away from my kids 3 mornings a week, too! But learning is learning. So fun that you get to help Miss Shelley out! I bet she enjoys the extra set of hands for sure!
I got your email about fixing your blog and I have no idea how to fix something like that!! Sorry!

Finley is getting so big! I hope regular preschool improves. Maybe the other kids can catch Finley;s positive attitude and be excited to be there. Ü
