Choo! Choo!

Last Friday Finley and I joined some friends to go to the transportation museum down in Spencer, NC. 

It is only about 45 minutes from our house so it was a fun half day trip! They had a traveling pirate exhibit of Blackbeard and the Queen Anne's Revenge ship. 

To Finley's disappointment there wasn't a ship. I had to explain to him that the ship sank and what remains of it is under the water. But he did get to practice hoisting the flag!

We explored the grounds and looked at old buses, cars, and of course trains!

This retro school bus is awesome. 

Allll Aboard!

Finley really enjoyed checking out the caboose. 

And getting to look out from up top! 

Next up was a 20 minute ride on a real train!

They even had the conductor come around and punch our tickets. 

So fun!
