It's been a busy and wet spring! We finally finished our Spring JYL soccer season a couple of weeks late due to several rained out games and lots of make ups! Finley had a great season with the Green Hornets.
We lost one of our star players and big scorers from the fall season so we knew this Spring would be much more challenging! Finley stepped up his game and become the second leading scorer for the team! He also had plenty of assists too.
The Green Hornets had several very close games this season, but lost only one regular season game.
We ended up finishing number 1 as regular season champs!
Of course we had some new fans in the crowd to cheer on big brother!
Luckily we had lots of help from Grammie, Mimi, and Ms. Tracy!
The Hornets made it all the way to the championship game! It was tied up 2 - 2 at the end of regulation and went to OT and then to PKs. Unfortunately, it wasn't our day and we missed one of our PKs. The boys still had a great season and we are proud of all their hard work.
Seeing as this was David's last season coaching with JYL (we need a break and will most likely move to GUSA/Fusion in the fall), the team made David this super sweet sign.
David has been coaching JYL soccer for over 7 years now!
He's gonna take a little break before the twins are ready to hit the pitch.
Our end of the year celebration was at Sweet Frogs where Coach David handed out the individual accolades.
Finley was super excited to get offensive MVP.
Way to go Finley and thank you David! While it is sad to close out Finley's JYL career he is super excited for bigger and better things!
