Phase 2.5

About a month ago our state entered into phase 2.5 of COVID restrictions. The one big thing that changed for us was the re-opening of parks! We decided to take advantage of the cooler fall weather and explore some new to us parks up on our new side of town.

We recently visited Country Park in Greensboro and their newly opened Carousel.

We had a friend who went to it a week before and said that she felt like they were doing a good job of cleaning in between riders and having riders keep their distance from one another.

This was the boy's first Carousel experience and they really enjoyed it!

We were able to get a combo pack of tickets so that they could ride it at least twice. Although I am pretty sure they would have enjoyed riding all day if that were an option!

The only downside was that you couldn't ride on any animal on the Carousel, only the ones that were designated for riders.

We also have been taking full advantage of our neighborhood park!

It is just a short walk from our house and we visit it several times per week

They don't have swings, but the boys love going down the slides!

Every time we would run or walk past this playground the babies would whine to go there. I am so glad that we can finally take them! They love it!

One day after Finley finished his online school we took a brain break and headed over to a fire station to get Kona Ice.

A huge storm rolled in right before we planned to go, but luckily it stopped raining and cleared up right when we got there!

The babies enjoyed seeing the fire trucks, ambulances, and of course sharing Kona Ice with me.

They were so cute loving on their big brother!

Finley has been doing a great job keeping up with his online school and not complaining at all! We are so proud of him and hope he continues to thrive in this new environment. It was so nice to have a little bit of normalcy and not feel so trapped and isolated!
