The first week back at school was also the week of the Winston-Salem Open, an ATP tour professional men's tennis tournament. We've been taking Finley for several years now (minus COVID last year). Its a great way to see high level tennis players up close and personal!
This year Finley and I went with his tennis besties Cade and Finn and their mom Dabney who is also one of my friends.
When we first got there we caught the end of a match between Cilic versus Ivashka. Cilic was the higher seed, but Ivashka won and he ended up winning the whole tournament later in the week!
Our friends Jess and Kevin were also there so we got to visit with them for a bit.
We ate a very over priced dinner there.
The big match up of the night was Tiafoe versus Murray.
It was a late one and a school night, but we still had fun!
It was a great match and Tiafoe ended up winning and advancing to the next round.
The boys tried to get autographs but were unsuccessful.
We had so much fun and hope to do it again next year!
It was so nice to get out and do one of our normal fun activities that was cancelled last year due to COVID. Hoping for more normal in the future!
