Christmas 2018

With two newborns in our house we barely got everything decorated in time for the holidays!

In fact, we ended up skipping the outdoor decorations completely due to snow, rain, and lack of time.

We did make time and room for some new Christmas ornaments on our tree!

And our stockings needed updating...

Ta-dah! Can you believe we fill up our PEACE sign now? We bought that shortly after we were married. I never thought it would be completely full. Well it is now!

Our clubhouse hosted an afternoon with Santa. Even though Finley finally admitted he doesn't believe in Santa and that he knows the truth, he still played along for the twins sake!

It was so fun to have a quick picture taken with Santa!

We missed our annual Running of the Balls race that we have done the past couple of years with our friend Carrie. We were able to do a quick drive through of that neighborhood one night will all the lighted balls.

And visit the Nativity at Greensboro College.

It was a cold night, but we stopped for a treat of hot chocolate for the ride from Starbucks! It was hard to do most of our annual Christmas traditions this year. We might have to adjust what we do each year from here on out!

I had this brilliant idea of taking the twins pictures inside their stockings.

Luckily they cooperated for us and hopefully won't hate me for this later! LOL!

We hosted Christmas Eve dinner again this year, but relented and had lots of help with the sides and desserts. We were only in charge of the meat. It turned out delicious!

Pre-dinner walk.

Dinner crew.

After dinner we visited and had Finley's annual piano concert.

Michelle also read Angela and the Baby Jesus to us. Another favorite tradition.

Christmas morning was spent at home opening stockings and presents with the Harrises.

Babies stockings are kind of hard to do. But we got them some supplies they might need in the future.

The twins got Finley a Lego Harry Potter set.

And David's, I mean Finley's big present from Santa/us was a drone.

After opening all our presents the boys tested out the new drone. They crashed it once, but luckily no permanent damage was done!

After our morning with the Harrises we loaded up and headed to Chapel Hill for the rest of the day!

My sister surprised me with a signed copy of a Jacqueline Woodson book!

And Finley/Donovan and Michelle, surprised me with a dead cockroach. When Finley first brought me the gift I was anticipating something really sweet that he picked out for me like jewelry or something. Wrong! This is what life as a mom of boys looks like!

My friend from High School Hadley was only able to visit on Christmas day so she came by to meet the twins.

Fun fort made with Auntie Michelle and Uncle Donovan and Carly.

Later in the week we came back to Chapel Hill so Finley and David could go to a UNC basketball game. We took the twins to Armadillo our favorite place to eat and also visited with another High School friend Rizzo.

Christmas was busy and crazier than normal, but luckily everything came together thanks to online shopping! LOL! But seriously, it was all about these babies and spending time with family. It was a low key holiday and we got to spend it with the people we love most. Merry Christmas!
