The Twins Arrival

Shortly after our Championship game we headed over to the hospital to be induced. We fully anticipated having the babies on November 2nd since the induction process was starting at 12 am. Well it turns out these little guys just weren't ready yet! The process was slow with little to no progress. I was given Pitocin, but not the softening pill because one of the babies heart rates had dipped early on. So we think that is why things weren't moving along like they should have. Eventually on Saturday the 3rd they decided to give me the pill to soften/ripen my cervix. Things finally started moving and they were able to break my water. Unfortunately when they did, Hunter, baby A was kind of crooked (the Dr could feel his ear instead of his scalp) so after all that we ended up having a C-section. No bueno.

Hunter Grant was born first weighing 6 lbs 5 oz and 19 inches long.

Jackson Tucker was born second weighing 6 lbs 11.5 oz and 18.5 inches long.

These wonderful nurses saw me through the whole process and kept me calm during a very intense and scary C-section. Because we had planned to deliver vaginally, I was fully unprepared for the C-section surgery. I wish they had just knocked me out for it! I was a hot mess! Thinking about it now still gives me anxiety!

Luckily the babies came out just fine and were not phased by the delivery process.

Hunter on the left, Jackson on the right. And yes we kept those hats on them the whole time we were in the hospital to help keep them straight! Lol!

David was able to be in the delivery room and hold the babies after they got cleaned up since I couldn't.

I ended up having to go into a special care unit after delivery because my heart rate kept dropping so low. Every time I would start to fall asleep the alarms would go off and nurses would come rushing in to check on me. So that makes three sleepless nights in a row...luckily after that first night my heart rate stabilized.

The next day my dad, mom, and Finley came to visit and meet the babies. My dad arrived first and was so proud to be the first visitor. From hence forth he wants the twins will call him "first visitor" and not Pop Pop. LOL!

Finley was so very excited to meet his baby brothers! He had waited long enough as had the rest of us!

From the very beginning he has been a loving and helpful big brother!

Jackson was a very wide eyed baby and still is!

First baths for the twins before we went home!

And the "twins" got Finley a big brother gift.

Harris, party of five!

At last it was time to go home from the hospital!

Grammie and Abuelo were away when the twins were born, but were so excited to meet them once they got back into town. These sweet boys are so loved and spoiled already! We are so grateful for such happy and healthy boys. Welcome to the world Hunter and Jackson!
